Sauna stones
Sauna stones with a diameter of 4-8 cm should be used for electric sauna heaters. These solid stone blocks are originally made for this purpose. Before insertion of the stones the stone dust should be washed. The stones should be placed into the stone chamber, right over the grate and next to the heating elements, such that the stones rely on each other. The stones should not weight on the heating elements. To make free air flow possible, the stones should not be too close to each other. They should fit loosely and should not get wedged between the heaters. Therefore, please aviod the use of too small blocks. Cover the heating elements with the sauna stones, but do not accumulate them high. The blocks should be rearranged from time to time (at least once a year or several times in case of frequent use), since the stones crumble during heating. This also means the remove of the dust and small pieces from the bottom of the heater and the insertion of new stone blocks.
