Sauna hygrometer and calorimeter
The purpose of the hyrgo-thermometer is to measure the air’s humidity and temperature within the sauna cabin. The device is relatively slow to react to changes in temperature and humidity, but rather accurately shows their values. If the values shown yet appear to be inaccurate, you can adjust the instrument in the manner provided below.
Measuring humidity (hygrometer):
The hygrometer indicates the relative humidity of the air on a percentage based scale. The maximum value 100%. You can reach this value, if you take the hygrometer into a plastic bag for 6-8 minutes, with warm, moist cloth or paper. If it is stabilized, and the pointer moves no longer, you can set the 100% value. This can be done with a screwdriver, on the back of the instrument. After setting it, the hygrometer accurately presents the lower values of humidity too.
Measuring heat (thermometer):
To the calibration of the thermometer another general thermometeris needed, which is reliably and rapidly responsive to changes in temperature. Place the two side by side.
When both thermometers’ pointer stops, you can adjust the pointer of the thermometer to be calibrated to the index value of the well-funtioning thermometer. . After setting it, the thermometer accurately presents the lower values of temperature too.
